The harp is a musical instrument
very popular with the Welsh.
The harp consists of a wood or
metal frame and usually 47 strings.
When a harpist plays their harp, they pluck
the strings, all of which have been tuned
to a different note. They can also raise or
lower the pitch by pressing one of the
seven pedals on the front.
Harps are particularly popular with folk
singers who sing while accompanying
themselves on the harp. Most orchestras
also have at least one harpist in them.
